One of the most veteran all-rounders in the Delhi Bulls franchise is England’s Ravi Bopara and he’s been putting in some sensible knocks for Delhi Bulls throughout the fourth season of Abu Dhabi T10 Leagues. He played some handy knocks alongside Evin Lewis to seal 2 back to back wins for the Bulls against the Bangla Tigers and Maratha Arabians.
In the first match against the Tigers he played a sensible and quickfire knock of 38 runs from 16 balls. His knock consisted of 4 boundaries and 2 massive sixes. Whereas, against the Arabians he played a steady knock of 28 runs consisting of 4 superb boundaries. Even in the final match of the round robin league, he solely battled out against the Warriors for 36 runs of 15 balls consisting of 2 fours and 4 massive sixes.
His knock showed his class and composure when no one was able to convert it to a big one. DJ Bravo the skipper of Delhi Bulls really appreciated the way he played and supported his team at such a crucial juncture. He also told that in the super League stage more is expected out of Ravi Bopara at first down position.
We usually wouldn’t have associated Bopara with big hitting that’s involved in a T10 contest but he’s been one of the biggest contributors with the bat, while not even being used with the ball yet. His slow medium pacers may come handy but for now, we’re going to concentrate on his exploits with the bat.
He will be very useful to the team and their chances in the rest of the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 League. For more updates, stay tuned to SpartanPokerNews.com.
